Male rufous hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) watching “his” feeder

I just got my new Fuji FinePix digital camera a day ago and I wanted to check out the zoom range. I set up the camera on a tripod on our deck and focussed on the top of the weeping birch, about 5 meters away. This was the favourite spot for a male hummingbird to keep watch on “his” feeder and defend it against others. I didn't have to wait long for his arrival, he was much more interested in the feeder than he was in me.
